We Can Make a Difference Together

Vote March 7, 2023

I feel we should all live in a safe walkable neighborhood

Meet
Ken Ortmann

A graduate of Cleveland High school; here in St. Louis, a proud Vietnam Marine Veteran, a husband of 41 years, a father and grandfather.

Ken has always call St. Louis home and lived in the Ward for 35 years

Safety
Ken helped found the Neighborhood Crime & Safety Committee and worked to upgrade street lights, build relationships with police and see that 9th ward neighborhoods are regularly patrolled

Progress
First as President of the Housing Corporation and then as Alderman, Ken has worked to rehab hundreds of of buildings and homes, businesses and to make our parks a safe place we can enjoy.

Integrity
The first responsibility of a public servant is to have strong moral principles. That means listening to the needs of people, understanding and working with them.  It means being truthful.  It’s hard, but Ken Ortmann isn’t afraid of doing what’s hard.
